I love Sudbury as a Wellington wedding venue, and it was such a pleasure to come back to this awesome place to celebrate the wedding photography of Natalie and Joel. I would think most Wellington wedding photographers love this venue as much as I do.
Starting with the boys, I just knew it was going to be an awesome day when Joel pulled out funky as Koala socks for this wedding attire, as well as the Rum to match. These guys definitely knew how to prepare themselves for the big wedding day. Being right on the beach in Kapiti with a stunning view of the South Island, we just had to take a quick stroll along the beach front, with no one around. You just cant beat the view for a Wellington wedding.
Natalie and the girls were just eager to get the champagne going and frolicking in their beautiful dresses. She did firstly opened the stunning Longines watch from Joel, talk about being spoiled on your wedding day. But then again, its a wedding day, a great time to live by the motto, sharing is caring 🙂 Natalie was simply stunning in her Anna Campbell wedding dress , a brand that I am now a fan of 🙂
Natalie and Joel exchanged some beautiful words to start their adventures together. From the photos, you can see plenty of laughter with a few tears during the exchange of vowels, just a perfect combination. For the bridal party, the guests were entertained with their own clay bird shooting event, and it was great to see so many people giving it a go for the first time. Gosh, when it was the main bridal party turn for the clay bird shooting, I was even allowed a go for the first time. Let's just say I am infinitely better at photography than clay bird shooting. Still, it was so lovely of Natalie and Joel to give me a go. Natalie even took photos of me with the camera. It is always so nice to be surrounded by such lovely and thoughtful clients.
The wedding reception was filled with laughter and more laughter, from the various speakers and backed up the very upbeat crowd. And when the light dimmed and the music came on from Superbad, most of the guests rushed out to the dance floor at the front to rocked on with the two love birds. Once again, Sudbury just provided the perfect background for everything.
Hope you can see and feel the love between Natalie and Joel, as well as their families and friends. Enjoy.
