Fun Wedding Images of Danielle at Pukatea Estate

I have always believed that fun wedding images, no matter what. Happy brides and grooms just simply make the best wedding photos.

Well, Kyle and Danjelle kind of took it to the extreme and just laughed with each other, and at each other, all day long. And this is why I love my job as a wedding photographer, having crazily fun clients like these two, as well as the rest of the bridal party. This wedding gallery is a great example of how to get fun wedding images.

Danjelle knew about my wedding photography work a few years back when I photographed her friend's farm wedding, at which, she was a bridesmaid. So she knew what she was in for 🙂 And of course, I captured her best friend's wedding a few weeks back as well. Fingers crossed I will be there for all the others in the bridal party hehe. Always nice to dream.

Kyle and the boys got ready at their beautiful home, along with the cat. Luckily they did not ask me to take photos of them in the shower. Danjelle and the girls got changed at her dad's parner's home just on the outskirts of Whanganui. I lost count on the number of times that Danjelle broke down in tears, being overwhelmed with emotions and joy. It was only a few weeks back that Auckland went into lockdown and the whole of New Zealand was under Level 2. Such emotional outlets were definitely understandable, and an absolute joy to capture.

The rest of the wedding day was held at Pukatea Estate, one of my favourite wedding venues in Whanganui. This was the first time that I have seen couples putting up a marquee at the venue, which is a great idea. No extra travel for everyone after the ceremony and the venue was easily handled and catered for nearly 100 guests.

We were gifted with some beautiful golden hour sunlight during the reception, and you could see Danjelle sprinting across the field to catch those moments just in time. It was definitely worth all that effort for those beautiful sunset wedding images. I don't think Danjelle wanted the photoshoot to finish, or either that the effect of alcohol was beginning to show 🙂
